Grand Opening Junior College 2012

Hi,

This is just an essay about the Bazaar Day and The Grand Opening that I made.

Am I ready? doubting myself, I was. My stomach hurts a sign that i was nervous. Queued at the backstage, waiting for my turn. My heartbeat was racing so fast, I could hear it pounding. As I walk to the stage and saw hundred pair of eyes was looking into my way. And the song played. My legs were shaking for the first 10s but I wont let my nervous get the best of me and i don't want to let my dancing group down just because I was nervous. Then I knew it was my moment and I got my confident back. I performed an American Latin dance with the song Danza Kuduro at the Grand Opening of the new facilities and Bazaar Day. Watched by the Ambassadors,  BOG, BOD, parents, teachers, and friends.

I prepared the dance a month before the event ad only performed for 2 minutes. But it was all worth it. There were videos and  5performances. After the barbie dane which included a choreographed performance by the lower primary in pink dresses complete with the feathers and white stockings, the Caribbean dancers took the stage with Hawaiian style clothing. Performing a sword dance earlier, the pre-school kids with a Chinese song, they were looking so adorable in their kung fu outfit. And as the closing the J-pop dancers owed the crowd with their harajuku costumes and modern movements. But, not to be outdone the American Latin dancers are shimmy in their shiny costume and dance scene. There was a video by the students that changed the atmosphere and the mood in the little theatre became more excited in the beginning of the event.

This year was totally different because we now have new facilities which embraces, yet the better side of the school. And this time they've combined the event of  the year which was the Bazaar Day  with another big event which was the Grand Opening that was attended by the honored guests; The Ambassadors of Pakistan, Bangladesh, Korean and Singapore. Thank goodness that the event was a big success.

The Bazaar status was officially crowded and hectic. You can see the mothers representing their own country and vendors who at that time was the sellers having their stalls afore the Mr.Liau's room were screaming trying to get their products to be sold. The Bazaar was one of the events in the school that shows diversity in our school.

Sadly, the JC students were separated. Some of us were helping the garage sale - which wasn't technically and practically in a garage it was beside the chemistry lab - to help raise funds for the upcoming event at the end of the year, the night of all nights, Prom Night. Some of us were selling our own products, and food.

Time flies and without realizing it the stalls are selling their products half price, if you were lucky enough you can get it for free and this means that the bazaar has ended.

This is the link for a little video that some of the SIS students and I made for the grand opening that was held May 2012. It was for introducing the guests with the new facilities in SIS BV.

I act as the director, choreographer and helping with some editing, pretty much the busy section of the entire team.

On behalf of the BOG, Principal, Mr. Shahlul, and Team, Thank you so much for every single one of you that participated in the video for Grand Opening Junior College 2012. Really appreciate your effort, time, and energy. Enjoy!

Cheers,

Grateful.

Hi,

School started last Wednesday July 4th and everything became so real. The teacher changes the timetable and guess what????? I have 10 free periods in a week but of course I will use that for art because the school actually doesn’t write art in the time table like some kind of I don’t know not admitting the existence of art? LOL no lah I’m just kidding I guess it is because it’s full already and art is just an option since the majority wont take art and I was the only students in art last semester but now I have a new friend (I'll get to that later). Back to the timetable, isn’t it so absurd that I actually am free everyday last period?? It’s insane the fact that I have to wait until 14.45 to get home when i finish my classes at 13.45 1 hour counts you know, I can do a lot of things; like sleeping, eating, art, and stuff. But I guess I will be okay sooner or later.

So, in SIS this semester we have a lot and when I say a lot it's A LOT of new students. In my class there are now 21 students it's like this year JC is breaking a record! There are new students for JC this year like 5 people if I’m not mistaken, Yuna from japan Yunseon from Korea, Yunita from Indonesia, Cindy from Indonesia, DJ from Korea and that is it............. I think. Which is great we'll have more fun, just like what they all say, and the more the merrier.

WELCOME TO JUNIOR COLLEGE :D
You will soon face hell -----> AS Level

SERIOUSLY! Since the day we came back from summer holiday I've been asking "Am I the only one who thinks that AS Level is damn scary?" IGCSE is nothing compare to AS Level, I can't even imagine how A Level next year going to be like. OH GOD, give me some strength to get through all of this therefore I can focus studying, do the examination smoothly, get outstanding grades and make LJ proud. Amiiiiiiin.

I went into some websites yesterday to find out more about my exam, and I don’t know why but cie.org.uk is always problem loading page but other sites doesn't have problem at all, and one of the website was my school website where I found this:

This is an article that I made when we were visiting the Harper’s Bazaar ART Jakarta last year. I'm just so happy that they chose to put my article in the school magazine. BEYOND happy.
And did I mention that I got good grades, it's much better than what I expected because i was so scared coming into the examination room and actually shaking until i couldn't even put the lead into the mechanical pencil. Superb. I got 3 As (ART, Math, IT) and 2Bs (Business, English) I can say that it's a great improvement for me. I am so grateful and I feel so blessed. Alhamdulillah.

Oh, And in those pics I was wearing twentyone striped sleeveless top, bracelet bought in US, Miley Cyrus MAX AZRIA leggings, and Tory Burch boots. Love'em!!

Cheers,

A Great Night in Gourmet World.

Photo courtesy of Azuraa (Instagram: azdee5)

Happy Birthday Azuraa!!! She's so nice super kind and generous and loyal. She celebrated her birthday in Gourmet World in Kemang few days after her actual birthday, which was on May 31st. The food were delicious, they had my fav pasta, Aglio Olio which also the birthday girl's fav. She invited her friends and family.. Including my sec4 2011 batch. But, some of them couldn't make it because they weren't in Indonesia. We had a lot of fun with the girls and boys, the jokes, the laughs and the part when we realize that we missed each other sooooooooo much. My brother was obviously needed to crash the party and it's also because my brother and Azuraa's brother are friends (my brother with grey jacket, Azuraa's brother, Bre with the black blazer). I had a lot of fun with my friends, laughed super hard, and ate delicious food so we can call it a great night!!!

Thank you Azuraa, for invited us :) <3 we love you, I hope you had a blast and wish you will have a wonderful year ahead baby! ;)
